Introducing
the Zamberlan z85
A timeless boot that deserves its own blog, whether on the beaten track or exploring the city - these boots got you
I put these boots through the ringer recently on my 180km Lapland trek. With a 25kg load and 30km of hiking six consecutive days in a row, comfort was never comprised while wearing these sexy mommas. The well structured foot and heel bed, accompanied by the soft Nubuck collar compliments the boot well, yet adds another layer of unparalleled comfort.
While the Upper of the boot is made of Zamberlan’s Hydrobloc® Full Grain Waxed Leather, you get about 2.6 to 2.8mm of thickness. These boots remind me of the Hanwag Tashi’s, except these boots are far more versatile and feature more premium materials like Gore-tex.

The Zamberlan Z85 is a testament to Italian craftsmanship, boasting a design that merges functionality with style. Its sturdy construction, quality materials, and attention to detail make it a go-to choice for hikers who demand reliability in challenging terrains. Further mentioning style, these boots fit perfectly fine in the city, going from one meeting to another and receiving compliments while at it. There is just something so appealing about these classic looking boots.
While these boots will last a lifetime. A little TLC is required to ensure their longevity. Wax em' up, spray em' up and make sure you get rid of both dirt and mud from them while they are stored away, as dirt and mud contain acidity which can deteriorate the materials of the boot over a long time. Personally, I wax my Zamberlan's as much as once a month as I use them almost everyday.
